Zara illustration

This is a follow up on the previous post regarding my new project brief to draw an illustration that will be featured on Zara's homepage to enhance their brand identity with eco fashion in line with their Spring/Summer collection.

Initial concept for illustration

Apply floral patterns like a tattoo onto the model. The model will wear clothes from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection. Mixed with typography to evoke ZARA as a brand that is environmentally concerned.

This illustration has too much going on around the face. I should try to experiment with colour and background. The pattern could spread into the background. The hand typography may be better with computer typeface. The model could look more cheerful to evoke a more positive mood.

 I will experiment with line drawings, tonal drawings, elements of colour and simple floral vectors to create the look for the illustration. Here is my experimentation with the tonal style drawing.
